Use of Litmu
Litmu is an iOS food label scanner that helps users analyze visible ingredient and nutrition labels. The app extracts label data with AI, computes deterministic HENI scoring locally, shows additive and personal-alert explanations, stores local history, and supports current-scan chat.
Health and label information
Label verification
Results depend on visible package text and AI extraction quality. You are responsible for checking the product package directly, especially for allergies, dietary restrictions, pregnancy, medication interactions, or medical conditions.
No complete diet tracking
Daily Impact and Monthly Insights are based on local scan history and user status labels. They are not complete nutrition diaries and do not claim to represent your full diet.
Free and Pro access
Free access
Free users can use core label analysis, HENI results, additive details, personal alerts, current-scan chat, and recent local history within monthly usage limits.
Pro access
Pro includes higher monthly AI analysis and chat limits, full local history, Daily Impact, and Monthly Insights. Subscription purchases and cancellation are handled by the App Store.
Usage limits
AI analysis and current-scan chat are subject to monthly quota limits. The app and API may also limit unusual or abusive usage to protect service reliability.

Auto-renewable subscription
Litmu Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple in-app purchase. Available plans may include monthly and yearly subscription options.
What Pro includes
Litmu Pro includes higher monthly AI analysis and current-scan chat limits, full local scan history, Daily Impact, Monthly Insights, and access to future Pro features when available.
Price, billing period, and trial
The current subscription price, billing period, and any free trial are shown in the app before purchase and in Apple's purchase confirmation sheet. Prices may vary by country or region and are handled by Apple.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account subscription settings before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in App Store subscription settings.
Payment and refunds
Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store. Apple manages billing, cancellation, renewal, and refund requests according to Apple Media Services terms and App Store policies.
AI output
May be incomplete
AI-generated extraction, explanations, summaries, and chat answers can be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on Litmu as the only source for safety-critical food decisions.
Current-scan scope
Chat is grounded in the current scan result. It is not a general medical, nutrition, or cross-history assistant.
Changes
Litmu may update features, usage limits, pricing, and these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
